Exemption and Credit Transfer
If you have previously completed relevant coursework, you may be eligible for an exemption or a credit transfer. These options help you avoid repeating material and support timely program completion.

You may be granted an exemption if your previous course covers the minimum percentage of the required course content. For more information, ask your course instructor or contact the Instructional Coordinator for your program.
Credit transfer may be granted for eligible courses completed either at CNA or at another recognized institution. For more information, visit the Transfer Guides page. If you have questions about transferring credits from previously completed courses into your current program, please contact your program’s Instructional Coordinator.
To request an exemption or credit transfer:
- Complete the Application for Exemption/Credit Transfer form .
- Gather supporting documents:
- Official transcript (required for courses from other public post-secondary institutions)
- Detailed course outlines (required for courses completed outside CNA)
- Email your complete application package to:
- Business programs: ols.ic-business@cna.nl.ca
- Office programs: ols.ic-office@cna.nl.ca
- For all other online programs, submit to the Instructional Coordinator for your program.
