Residents of Newfoundland and Labrador who require financial assistance to attend College of the North Atlantic may be eligible to receive full-time or part-time financial assistance. To apply visit the Student Aid website.
If you are receiving a student loan, notification will be sent to the college via the Student Aid online portal. We will begin processing student loans at the start of the semester. Applicable fees will be deducted directly from your student loan (NOTE: textbook costs will not be deducted).
You will be notified via your student CNA webmail account when your loan is processed. It will take a minimum of 5-15 business days before funds are released to your banking institution. If you have not received your student loan by the fee payment deadline, please submit the financial contract request form to request an extension to the fee payment deadline.
If you have opted out of the health and dental insurance plan, the applicable fees will be refunded to Student Aid NL and applied against your loan balance. Information on the health & dental insurance is available on My CNA. If you have questions about your coverage, you may contact Mary Ellen Alexander at 709-643–7927 or email at mary-ellen.alexander@cna.nl.ca.
