Will I receive a refund if I decide to drop a course?

    Last day to drop courses without academic prejudice - visit the Calendar of Events

  • Students withdrawing from the College within four weeks from the start of a semester will receive a full refund.
  • Students dropping individual courses up to six weeks from the start of a semester will receive the applicable refund (calculated based on the change in enrollment).
  • No refund will be issued if a drop or withdrawal is submitted six weeks after the start of the semester.
  • A course may be dropped without academic prejudice up to the end of the eighth week from the scheduled date of registration for a semester or the end of the second week in the intersession.
To receive a refund, you must complete the Online Drop Form. The request will be processed by the Admissions Officer or designate and you should receive an email with a confirmation of your Drop request. Refunds could take up to 6 weeks after the Online Drop Form request has been processed.

The form can be also be printed or is available from the Admissions Office at any College campus. This form must be sent to the campus where you registered or via Fax: 709-466-4640 with attention to Admissions Office.


Will I get a refund for my textbooks?

The following is the Distributed Learning Service Bookstore's refund policy:

    If you need to return a book for refund, authorization is required and can be requested via email at dlsbookstore@cna.nl.ca. Please do not call the Bookstore for authorization.

    Returns must be sent to the Distributed Learning Bookstore within three weeks of receipt date and in their original condition. (No refunds can be issued if you write in or mark the book.)

    A copy of your sales receipt (and credit card/debit receipt if applicable) must accompany any textbooks returned to the DL Bookstore. Also, include your name, address, telephone number, student ID, and reason for returning.

    Textbooks must be in the original shrink-wrapped packaging and cannot be returned if taken out of packaging. If the software packaging has been opened, the purchaser forfeits all return rights.

    If you receive damaged books, please report damage upon receipt or a refund can not be issued.

    Books returned that are not in saleable condition will be returned to you at your expense.
